2022

Sophie and I attended "Smooth Sailing" together on Tuesday night. This is a get excited about Kindergarten and meet all of the teachers night. It was fun. I think that she will love Kindergarten, although I think that this is going to be my hardest first day of school yet for several reasons. The cut-off date for Kindergarten here is August 1, so Sophie will be the very youngest in her class. And Kindergarten is all-day here. And Landon is going to Middle School. Yes, Middle School starts in fifth grade here. And I will only have one child at home with me all day. Crazy. But I am going to clear my mind and not freak out about any of this until the Fall. We have a great, care-free summer planned. The freak-out that I meant to focus on in this post was that they introduced Sophie's class as the Class of 2022 the other night. 2022!?! Can you believe that? When I think of the Class of '22, I think about my great-grandparents not my kids. But I guess that will change as the wheel of time keeps going round. Which somehow reminds me of that Ferris Bueller quote. "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

2022 will be here before you know it!! Jackson is the class of 2013 and Em is 2015. It's pretty cool because Dave graduated in 1983 and I graduated in 1985!

I'll keep you busy this fall:)

2022! That does seem forever away. Audrey will be even later. It does seem strange that Sophie is old enough for kindergarten. If you get rid of Audrey's snotty nose by fall, you can spend a lot of time at the gym. Year of Kristin!

That is a lot to be freaking out about. I haven't even thought about the year my kids will graduate!

no kidding! 2022?! Thanks for pointing that out to me. Now I can freak out on my own. And I love that you quoted Ferris Bueller. Made me giggle.

5th grade middle school? They are still so young at that age. I can't believe Sophie is already old enough to start school. I had a big year this year with Brian in school all day. I didn't know what to do with myself the first couple days, but all the free time I was planning on sure filled up fast and I learned to adjust.
