On Friday, William went on a field trip with his class. First they traveled about 40 miles to see a live production of Peter Pan. Then they came back to town and straight to the local bowling alley. They bowled until school was almost out. They returned with just enough time to have their Valentines Day Party. I helped out with the party and brought heart-shaped donuts. Vince helped out with Landon's party too. On the way home, we asked Will about his field trip. Typically, he didn't say too much but when Vince asked if Peter Pan sang, he replied, "just like every possible second that he even freakin' could." We laughed and laughed. I guess it was a musical.
Vince and I finally spent a good chunk of time child-proofing last week. Audrey has drawn all over her legs and several books and is into everything, so this was long over-due. But the latches didn't even slow her down. What a waste of time. She still manages to get into every drawer or cupboard that she chooses. She is a clever girl and a stinker. Yesterday, I saw her go get Sophie's swimsuit out of her drawer and put it in the garbage can and close the lid. We got it out, of course, and Sophie was mad. But how often does she do things like this without notice? We have a long list of "missing" things around the house. They are probably long gone to the landfill. What a pill.
Landon made a power point presentation about cheese yesterday. I will have to figure out how to post it here. He is a silly, creative kid. Sophie loved Valentines Day and is still packing around cards from classmates in her purse.

How cool is that to go bowling and see a musical on a field trip - even if they did sing a lot. That is too funny. I have found that it doesn't matter how much you childproof, it doesn't stop them. It may slow them down a little, but they find a way. I have all my garbage cans on dressers or desks or anything that will raise it up to keep Grant from throwing stuff away. Very frustrating - I feel your pain.
What fun stories...I miss these kinds of clever, cute antics!!
So did Landon make the powerpoint for school or does he just do that in his spare time? Will cracks me up! I think Audrey is going to grow up to be an evil doctor.

That sounds like a very eventful field trip. A little something for everyone. A few things went missing when Cael was a toddler. I found something in the trash at one point. It's fun to here what your kids have been up to. When are you guys coming out for a visit?
